It’s no secret that I’ve been impressed by the box contents of Infinity Crates, a UK based geek subscription box which provides you with some of the items personal according to your interests.
The April 2015 box came with the theme Abilities, a wide-ranging opportunity for a geek box to cover the powerful and super-normal.
The base price for the box is £16.99 GBP (about $27 USD). I have a subscription to Infinity Crates now, so benefit from a discounted price of £14.99 GBP, which easily offers value for money. The price includes shipping to the UK.
Unfortunately, this box really went through the wars during delivery to me by Royal Mail, so the box arrived late and in a sub-standard condition. The real casualty here was the POP!

Avengers Inspired T-Shirt (Exclusive)
This was one of two T-Shirts that could be included in the box. The Infinity Crates T-Shirts are kept simple, but I guess that’s understandable with the smaller audience. I generally value T-Shirts at $10 USD.
Spider-man Fridge Magnet
There are some cool Spider-man magnets on Amazon. Similar ones sell for about $5 USD each.
Dummies Inspired Small Poster (Exclusive)
This is small (A5) sized, worth around $2 USD.
Doctor Who And The Armageddon Factor Paperback Book
This novelisation of the TV series was printed in 1984 with a cover price for £1.50 GBP. As far as I can tell, this is new/unread. There are still some stocks around, although not in mainstream book shops. Amazon.com will get the Armageddon Factor to you, through third party sellers, in new condition for around $8 USD and up.
This was one of a whole stack of Doctor Who books that were offered with Infinity Crates, so different subscribers got different books.
Laser Pen (With Two AAA Batteries)
These are useful for giving presentations. You can buy similar ones for around $5 USD delivered. Glad to see the thought of including batteries as well.
Batman Patch (For Clothing)
No real value at all, but it’s a nice to see a box trying something different.
Mystique Funko POP!
Mystique Sells On Amazon.com For $10 USD. Unfortunately, mine arrived rather battered from the journey.

Box Review
Infinity Crates provides excellent value for money.
I easily calculate $40 USD in value here (minus a couple of dollars for the damaged POP! box), although it would cost more than that with shipping to get all these items to you. That’s much more than the cost price.
Infinity Crates do their curation very well, so the boxes are a joy to open.
I particularly like the unique items, like the Doctor Who book and the laser pointer. And, at this price point, having both a POP! and a T-Shirt is impressive.
One thing that could be improved is the packaging. My crate was rather damaged and just using a cardboard box looks a little cheap. The geek box, this time, did come with Infinity Crates sealing tape, which is a step in the right direction.
It was also funny to receive two very similar Avengers T-Shirts in two different boxes from the UK this month. Just shows how popular the franchise is.
Overall, I recommend Infinity Crates. You won’t go far wrong if you subscribe.
