Infinity Crates is the geek box I’ve had the longest continual subscription for. They’re a UK box and they set out to bring something different to the market.

Some items in the box are chosen based on availability and some are selected based on interests that you preselect. You are guaranteed an exclusive T-Shirt (by the in-house Infinity Crates team) and a Funko POP! Vinyl each month.

There are several pricing options available for Infinity Crates

I’m reviewing the main offering, the Classic Crate, which currently goes for £19.99 GBP ($28 USD) including delivery within the UK (I pay a slightly lower grandfathered rate).

There are also three other subscriptions available, including the Premium Crate at £26.99 GBP ($38 USD), the Kids Crate at £19.99 GBP ($28 USD) and the T-Shirt Only Crate at £10.99 GBP ($15 USD).

The May 2016 box came with the theme Honour and arrived safely through Royal Mail.

Box Contents

Daredevil T-Shirt (Exclusive)

This is a grey background with a two colour print. I like having simple designs like this available in traditional colours, so this is useful for me.

I’ll value this at the T-Shirt standard of $10 USD.

Captain America Funko POP! Vinyl

This is a great POP!, but unfortunately came in the April 2016 Comic Block, so it’s a duplicate for me, which is a shame.

It is a cool looking POP! though and I’m sure the duplicate will soon find a home.

You can see the Captain America Funko POP! Vinyl on Amazon.com. The valuation based on the current selling price is $9 USD.

Honour Mini Poster (Exclusive)

One of these wide posters arrives in the box every month. As Infinity Crates goes, this is one of their artistically strongest posters.

My standard valuation for these posters is $2 USD.

Game Of Thrones Sword

This is tiny! You can probably see on the picture that the handle is bent and close to breaking off.

Unfortunately, I doubt that this one will survive for long before hitting the bin.

Still, the idea is fine.

I’ll value this one at a token $1 USD.

Adventure Time Mug

I do like this simple design and I haven’t been receiving many mugs in geek boxes recently. They always come in handy.

You can see a whole selection of Adventure Time mugs on Amazon.com.

Prices vary a lot, but based on the comparable styles, I’ll value this at $10 USD.

Iron Man Plush

This is a small plush and the design is actually quite nice. The product is also rather suspect as the information on the accompanying label thinks that this is Spider-man.

Infinity Crates has been noted in the past for sometimes including dubious items. To me, it’s just unlikely that this would ever have past an official manufacturer with an error like this. Still, for a small plush, this does look the part.

You can buy Iron Man plushes on Amazon.com.

Putting a value to this is slightly tricky in the circumstances and because this plush is smaller than the equivalents on Amazon. I’ll take a punt at $5 USD.

Box Review

An interesting geek box.

I get a value of $37 USD, which is above the cost price.

I thought that the theme of Honour was quite loosely applied here, although that didn’t detract from the contents.

It’s good to see that Infinity Crates have started to look at ways to add items carrying value to their boxes. Although I think that there’s still some work to be done regarding sourcing, the boxes do look much more substantial than they did a few months ago.

The POP! is particularly nice (even though it’s a duplicate) and I like the style and character of the mug. Even the plush has a certain sweetness to it.

I have always thought that Infinity Crates should be one of the first boxes that UK fans consider. Based on the May 2016 box, I’m happy to continue with that recommendation.
