I’m a big fan of Infinity Crates, a UK based company that chooses items based around the preferences you supply – and provides a POP! Vinyl and T-Shirt every month.

This month, there was a bit of a hiccup with delivery and the pre-paid postage, so the box took about 10 days to get to me instead of the usual 2 days. Thankfully, everything arrived intact.

Infinity Crates is one of the most reasonably priced mystery boxes out there. The standard price for delivery within the UK is £16.99 GBP per month ($27 USD). The three-monthly subscription is even better value at £15.49 GBP per month, and six-months for £14.99 GBP.

This month’s theme held a lot of promise, being “space and time” and when I unpacked the items from the brown shipping box I was immediately impressed.

Box Contents

Time Travel T-Shirt

This is a fun design, with quality screen printing, and I suspect also an exclusive, paying tribute to many time travel devices from film and TV.

A T-Shirt that will definitely be worn.

I value this at the T-Shirt standard of $10 USD.

Doctor Who Dalek Funko POP! Vinyl

Very happy with this Dalek, which is a new release and my favourite item in the Infinity Crates box. I originally thought that this was a Gold Dalek, but although there’s debate in other reviews, I know think this a Bronze Dalek design.

Colour aside, As far as I’m concerned, the more Doctor Who items in boxes, the better, and you can’t go wrong with a classic monsters like the Daleks.

The Dalek POP! sells for around $11 USD on Amazon.com.

Starfleet Key Ring

The information card describes this as a badge, but it looks like a key ring to me.

A cool thing is that the back works as a bottle opener, so a handy item to carry around.

The value of items like this is always open to interpretation (I can’t find anything similar online), but I’ll value it at $3 USD.

Star Wars Millennium Falcon Sticker

I always struggle to tell the big star ships apart, but thankfully the information card with the box helps here.

I’m unlikely to stick this on anything, but it’s one of the better sticker designs. I’ll value it at $1 USD.

Fizz Wizz Popping Candy

This is a small packet of a cherry flavour fizzing type candy from Spain. Not tried it yet, but always like getting sweets and candy in boxes.

You can buy 50 packets of Fizz Wizz on Amazon.com for $32 USD plus postage. I’ll round up the single pack to $1 USD value.

Star Wars Yoda Key Ring

A second key ring in one box!

I find it hard to look at Yoda now without thinking of the brief spoof appearance in the (hilarious) Book of Mormon musical.

This is a key chain which will look good on any set of keys, or even dangling from a cupboard door. These are surprisingly expensive online, I’ll value Yoda at $5 USD.

Space And Time Mini Poster

This is a fun poster paying tribute to several popular science fiction franchises – and I presume it’s also an exclusive.

I value all of these small posters at $2 USD.

Box Review

One of the best Infinity Crates in terms of the quality and use of the items.

I make this $33 USD of value, but I may have underestimated some items, and there would be additional charges to get all of these items shipped individually.

My favourite item is easily the Dalek POP! which makes up most of the value (and I know that a Funko POP! like this sells at almost the box cost at retail price). The T-Shirt is cool too, and there are several decent things to gift here, as well as the items I’ll certainly hang on to.

The filler items in the box have also got much better in recent months. Occasionally, there have been some cheap stickers and similar, but now everything’s arriving in colour and with some real effort put into it.

Here’s an idea for a low cost item to include. I don’t recall ever having received a book mark in a geek box and I always have several (real and electronic) books on the go. Perhaps Infinity Crates could fill the gap?

As usual, I recommend Infinity Crates as being a top mystery box. The personalised elements, along with how they really pay attention to what you like, sets them apart from the rest. Looking forward to the August 2015 box already.
