The August 2020 My Geek Box arrived with me safely through Royal Mail. This is a monthly UK based geek subscription box which often contains items otherwise available in the main My Geek Box and Zavvi shops.

If you want to subscribe to My Geek Box, the price including postage within the UK is £23 GBP ($29 USD) on a month-by-month basis.

These boxes do not come with information cards.

Box Contents

Star Trek USS Enterprise T-Shirt

This is an official item with a simple colour scheme. A white T-Shirt with a black outline print.

It looks pretty good.

I’ll use my standard value for a T-Shirt of $10 USD.

The Elder Scrolls Felt Pendant

A good design as these things go. But I can’t imagine doing much with it.

I’ll value this at $5 USD.

Wolverine Mighty Muggs

Another line of collectable figures that’s new to me. This has the fun feature that if you push Wolverine’s head down, the facial expression changes.

I’ll use a fairly standard value for this type of item of $10 USD.

Star Wars Chubby Stackable Characters

These are more for children, but they do come in a big box. They date back to 2014.

There are 15 to collect and I presume you can mix and match.

No great value to me, but officially I’ll go with $10 USD.

The Walking Dead Volume 1 Graphic Novel

One of those series I’ve been meaning to read. It’s great to have been sent the first volume, collecting together comics originally published in 2001.

The cover price for this is $15 USD.

Box Review

There’s a lot in this box and there’s nothing that screams cheap. Not the best curation, but I can’t complain.

Very glad to have received the graphic novel. The T-Shirt is decent and the other items have a fun element about them.

The Star Wars collection will be passed on to someone else, but things like that always happy.

Overall, the value of $50 USD is decently above the cost price.

My Geek Box provides an element of fun and mystery every month. Do check them out.
