The Zavvi ZBox is a long-established geek subscription box, shipped from within the UK.
I picked up the December 2017 box, which arrived promptly through Royal Mail.
This comes in a simple brown box. This is less elaborate than many companies, but everything came well-packaged and this is no doubt better for the environment.
The standard pricing for the Zavvi ZBox, paid on a recurring monthly basis, is £19.99 GBP ($25 USD).
The theme for this box was Galaxy. The box also came with a mini magazine giving more details about the items.

Firefly T-Shirt (Exclusive)
This is a nice design, depicting the Serenity ship, done in the style of a car manual.
I’ll assign a value of the T-Shirt standard here of $10 USD.
Chirrut Imwe Funko POP! Vinyl
This comes from the Rogue One collection of Star Wars Funko POP! Vinyls.
Interestingly, the ZBox mini magazine lists two POP!s that could be included and this isn’t one of them.
It’s decent enough and a good one to add to the collection.
You can see the Chirrut Imwe Funko POP! Vinyl on Amazon.com. This one is easily available at well below the typical Funko prices, so I’ll value this at $5 USD.
Star Wars Travel Mug (Exclusive)
This is a heavy mug, probably heavier than I’d want to carry on a commute.
The red print looks that part here and I can see this coming in handy.
There are several Star Wars travel mugs available on Amazon.com.
Based on those, I’ll value this exclusive mug at $12 USD.
Star Wars Beanie (Exclusive)
This is a rather nice beanie, with the Star Wars logo on the front. It’s stylish enough to wear.
There are lots of Star Wars beanies available on Amazon.com. As an exclusive, this one isn’t there, but I’ll use that to calculate a value at the simpler end of scale, of $10 USD.
UFO Pin (Exclusive)
Nothing to this, although as pins go, the style is good.
I’ll assign a token value of $1 USD.

Box Review
Lots of exclusive items in this Zavvi ZBox.
The downside is that this one is rather dominated by Star Wars. With that said, the items chosen are interesting.
I get $38 USD of value, which is well above the cost price. That also takes into account the Funko POP! Vinyl selling at below the typical price point.
The clothing items this time are great, including the T-Shirt and beanie. I can see myself using the travel mug as well.
Excluding the filler item of the pin, there aren’t any low value items either. Good to see Zavvi putting the effort in to creating such a good box.
The Zavvi ZBox is a mainstream geek box for good reason. Long may that continue.
