Infinity Crates Geek Box Review – February 2017

Infinity Crates is one of the longest established geek boxes produced within the UK. The release for February 2017 came with the theme Power.

The box was delivered safely to me through Royal Mail, but the box lacked an information card, something has become a trend. This is a pity, as the information cards are useful to get details of the items and also to see what the alternatives are (this is a personalised box, so different people get different combinations of stock).

There are several different pricing options in place for Infinity Crates, which comes with a guaranteed T-Shirt and Funko POP! Vinyl every month.

This review covers the longest-serving crate they offer, which is the Classic Crate. This currently sells for £19.99 GBP ($25 USD) including delivery within the UK.

The other options include the Premium Crate at £26.99 GBP, the Kids Crate at £19.99 GBP and the T-Shirt Only Crate at £10.99 GBP. Discounts are also available for longer-term subscriptions.

Infinity Crates also keeps a list of interests and preferred areas of fandom. All of the boxes contain a guaranteed Funko POP! Vinyl and a T-Shirt from a selection based around interests. I don’t think that the selections are used as much as they used to be, but it’s still good to see the personalisation, which is pretty unique as geek boxes go.

Box Contents

The Lord Of The Rings T-Shirt (Exclusive)

This is a vibrant print compared to many Infinity Crates T-Shirts, showing the ring from The Lord of The Rings. A real demonstration of the box theme, power.

I’ll value this at the T-Shirt standard of $10 USD.

Daredevil Funko POP! Vinyl

This Daredevil vinyl is item 120 and part of the POP! Marvel series.

It’s a cool design and goes well with the other Daredevil variants I’ve had in previous boxes.

You can see various Daredevil Funko POP! Vinyls on Amazon.com. Based on current pricing, I’ll value this at $12 USD.

Spider-man Mug

This is an official Marvel mug, holding 11 ounces and produced by Zak!. It comes with a close-up of the front of Spider-man’s mask.

I like the design and it’s a mug that will get used. The mug is slightly smaller than several found in geek boxes, which is also an advantage to me.

There are plenty of Spider-man mugs available on Amazon.com. I can see several designs, but different sizes. I’ll assign a typical value for the similar size mugs of $10 USD.

Halo and Pokemon Prints (Exclusives)

These are two nicely done prints and I assume (with the absence of an information card) that they’re both exclusives.

I’ll value these at $2 USD each, $4 USD total.

Box Review

A good Infinity Crates, delivering $36 USD of value, well above the cost price.

There weren’t as many items as recent months (I can’t count the prints as two items), but what was there had more value. None of the really low value items that sometimes plague this box.

I like all of the value items, particularly the Funko POP! Vinyl.

Infinity Crates has a lot to offer UK fans. Check them out!
