Loot Wear Risky Business has really fallen off the rails in recent months. There have been delays with manufacturing the geek clothing items and I’m still waiting for several months of products.

It was therefore something of a surprise when a Loot Wear package arrived, which turned out to be the February 2019 release, particularly as I’m missing several others. It also turned out to be incomplete, with no information given. You can see what was missing later in the review.

For the uninitiated, Loot Crate offer several versions of their Loot Wear packages. Each of these have a different combination of geek items inside.

I tend to go for the Risky Business version, which has a good mix of geek items, including boxer shorts, socks and a T-Shirt. The package includes a fold out leaflet with details about the items.

Loot Wear have recently added a separate postage charge to their deliveries, meaning the pricing to the UK has gone up. With UK shipping included, this now costs £18 GBP ($23 USD) per month. This figure does change occasionally based on the subscription rate. You can get a discount for longer subscriptions too.

One thing I like about Loot Wear is that everything arrives in a plastic envelope and fits in your letter box. That’s handy if you work when Royal Mail normally deliver.

Box Contents

Power Rangers T-Shirt (Exclusive)

The first T-Shirt with a gold print I think I’ve ever owned.

This one looks rather decent. The print is apparently Megazord.

I value this at the T-Shirt standard of $10 USD.

Transformers Socks (Exclusive)

These comes in a sliding cassette tape style box, which is a change in packaging type.

They are a nice yellow colour and a Bumblebee movie tie-in.

I’ll use my standard value for pair of socks, which is $10 USD.

Box Review

With the two items included, I get $20 USD of value, which is below the cost price.

You might notice from the review there were no boxer shorts. According to the information sheet, these should be another Transformers item, so hopefully they will arrive. A bit of communication about this from Loot Wear wouldn’t hurt.

With those, the value will be above the cost price, making this geek clothing package a reasonable buy.

I do like the gold stylings of the T-Shirt. That and the socks will get worn.

I hope that Loot Wear can sort out its supply issues. This remains a good value geek purchase, providing everything eventually arrives.
