The Infinity Crates UK geek box for December 2016 came with the theme Rogue. Unsurprisingly, this suggested items tying in with the Rogue One release for December.

The box was delivered safely through Royal Mail, but my box lacked an information card, which is always a bit of a pain as some of the items can be challenging to identify.

There are several different pricing options available for Infinity Crates, which comes with a guaranteed T-Shirt and Funko POP! Vinyl every month.

This review covers the longest-serving offering, which is the Classic Crate. This currently sells for £19.99 GBP ($25 USD) including delivery within the UK.

The other options include the Premium Crate at £26.99 GBP, the Kids Crate at £19.99 GBP and the T-Shirt Only Crate at £10.99 GBP. Discounts are also available for longer-term subscriptions.

Infinity Crates also keeps a list of interests and preferred fandoms so that they can choose some items based on your interests. This usually includes both the Funko POP! Vinyl and the T-Shirt. Some recent choices have been rather suspect, so it’s not clear if the choices are looked as closely as they once were.

Box Contents

Star Wars Boba Fett T-Shirt (Exclusive)

This is a good simple T-Shirt design on grey stock, alluding to the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars will never be a favourite of mine, but I have to say that this design works well for an Infinity Crates style T-Shirt.

I’ll value this at the T-Shirt standard of $10 USD.

Daredevil First Appearance Funko POP! Vinyl

This is number 90 in the POP! Marvel collection.

Daredevil has always been a favourite superhero of mine.

What sets this Daredevil Funko POP! Vinyl apart from others is that it’s the yellow costume version, reflecting his first appearance.

It appears that this version was also an exclusive at various places, making it more collectible. Definitely a great item for Infinity Crates to have included in the geek box.

The Daredevil First Appearance Funko POP! Vinyl is available on Amazon.com. The typical value is $15 USD.

Assassins Creed Badge

A simple badge, which comes with a card backing. This one doesn’t seem to be an official item.

I’ll use a $2 USD value here.

Batman Arkham Knight Stickers

These are 15 stickers on two sheets, all official and some of them with interesting designs.

These are based around the Arkham Knight video game.

There are several designs of Arkham Knight stickers available on Amazon.com.

I can’t see this exact design, but based on similar sticker packs, I’ll assign a value of $5 USD.

Deadpool Key Ring

This is a reasonably large rubber key ring which comes neatly packaged. This doesn’t appear to be an official item.

Although I have all the key rings I could ever possibly need, I do like the design of this one and could see it being used.

There are a lot of Deadpool Key Ring options available on Amazon.com. Unofficial items are always hard to price up, so I’ll go along with the similar lower value items at $3 USD.

Box Review

A rather mixed bag from Infinity Crates, with some intriguing items.

In many ways, I’m glad that they’ve stopped sending the very cheap looking posters and stickers. There are still rather a lot of filler items, but these are better chosen than in some previous boxes.

I get $35 USD of value, which is above the cost price. This is helped by having a very well-chosen Funko POP! Vinyl, which makes the whole box a winner for me.

There really isn’t much to say about the other items this time, as a lot of the cheaper looking stuff will end up gifted.

What is a real pain is the lack of an information card. This happens more often than it should and it’s not clear if this is just a packing mistake, or because the items don’t match the card. Having seen some other unboxing videos, there are some discrepencies, so I suspect the latter reason.

Still. Infinity Crates continues to get a good recommendation for me as being unique as far as UK geek subscription boxes go. It is a box that you have to try if you’re a geek box fan based within the UK.
