My Geek Box provided mystery box free of charge for review purposes. This does not affect the editorial content of the review.

The December 2019 My Geek Box arrived with me safely, although rather covered in labels, making it difficult to take a good photo of the contents.

If you want to subscribe to My Geek Box, this costs £23 GBP ($29 USD) on a month-by-month basis. That price does include postage within the UK.

This is always an interesting box, which comes from the UK based The Hut Group.

The box doesn’t contain an information card. For this month, all of the items were fairly easy to identify.

Box Contents

Rick And Morty T-Shirt

A simple T-Shirt design, but decent enough. It comes on very wearable grey stock.

I’ll use my standard value for a T-Shirt of $10 USD.

Games of Thrones Notebook

A useful enough hardback Game of Thrones notebook (or journal). It will get used.

My main complaint about this one is I received exactly the same item in the April 2019 My Geek Box.

I’ll stick with the same value here, which is $10 USD.

Star Wars Head Lamp

This is rather bizarre. It’s a portable lamp that you wear on your forehead, presumably to read in the dark.

I presume this is aimed at kids.

You can see a similar Star Wars Head Lamp on Based on that, I’ll value this at $18 USD.

Spider-Gwen Mini Heroes

Another line of collectible figures. This one is new to me.

This is an official Marvel item, so presumably them looking for their own range to rival Funko and the like.

You can see the Spider-Gwen Figure on Despite being small in size, these are reassuringly expensive. I’ll value this at $12 USD.

Fallout Coasters

Some metal drinks coasters to round out the box.

These always sell for more than I think they should. I’ll value them at $10 USD.

Box Review

An interesting box. There are five items with a total value of $60 USD. That’s well above the cost price.

Now, I must say that’s inflated in some ways, especially with items like the Head Lamp, but you can’t complain about the overall value here.

The biggest disappointment was the repeat item from only a few months before. Thankfully it’s a notebook and you can never have too many of those.

My favourite is probably the T-Shirt, but there’s also a decent figure there too.

I think there’s enough value in this My Geek Box. The best thing about it is that there are no really cheap filler items, like stickers and badges. That’s something many other geek box suppliers could learn from.
