Loot Wear Risky Business Geek Clothing Review – March 2018

Loot Wear is the mystery geek clothing line from Loot Crate. I’ve reviewed this a few times recently as I currently have an annual subscription.

As a clothing line, this comes in a plastic envelope rather than a box. It should be letterbox sized, although the post delivery workers haven’t attempted to fit this in the letterbox recently, so it’s right on the borderline.

The package does come themed, the same as the main Loot Crate box. So, the March 2018 box was themed Playback, offering a lot of potential for retro style items. This also comes with a small fold out sheet with details of what’s inside.

There does seem to a backlog with Loot Wear so this geek package arrived rather late, as usual. Hopefully Loot Crate are catching up with the backlog and some of the supply problems.

Loot Wear offer a choice of bundles depending on which type of clothing you prefer. I go for the one which I think is the best value, Risky Business, which includes a pair of boxer shorts, a pair of socks and a T-Shirt (all exclusives) every month.

The standard pricing for this Risky Business bundle on a monthly basis and including UK shipping is £16 GBP ($20 USD) per month. Note that, although Loot Crate is a US based subscription, they do charge in pounds for people from the UK, although the price can change depending on the exchange rate.

Box Contents

Ready Player One T-Shirt (Exclusive)

I’m still waiting to see this film (and read the book), but I know it contains lots of retro influences so it’s very well-suited for this month.

The design is an arcade machine print, with the arcade machine made up of houses and apartments.

I value this at the T-Shirt standard of $10 USD.

Back To The Future Socks (Exclusive)

This hover board design looks familiar, as it’s the same one used for a miniature item in a previous box.

These come in eye-catching pink. Not my usual colour, so not something I’d want Loot wear to choose too offer, but they certainly stand out.

These are normal socks, not sport socks, which is good.

I’ll again use my standard sock value of $10 USD.

Aliens Boxer Shorts (Exclusive)

Another pair of yellow boxer shorts, which I presume is Loot Wear’s favourites.

I always like the material Loot Wear use and these are decent.

I’ll value these at $10 USD.

Box Review

Another good Loot Wear. $30 USD always provides a return on the cost price.

All the items are recognisable brands, thanks to a sensible theme.

This has to be the best of the geek clothing mystery boxes. Worth checking out.
