Fantasy is a geek mystery box theme that offers up a lot of options for interesting box contents.

That meant I was very happy to see Infinity Crates for September 2015 going with Fantasy as its theme.

I was even happier to see the new packaging for the box. Infinity Crates now has its own box design with printed logo and comes shipped in sturdier packaging than in the past.

The new box is one of the largest ones I’ve seen, which is a good sign, as it means plenty of space for large items.

The delivery arrived through Royal Mail, with the standard monthly pricing of £16.99 GBP within the UK (that’s about $27 USD). Discounts are available for longer subscriptions.

Infinity Crates offers some personalisation with your order based on your interests, including the guarantee of a POP! Vinyl and a T-Shirt each month.

Box Contents

Straight Inta Mordor T-Shirt

This is a really cool design which works perfectly with the white print on the class black T-Shirt background.

Unusually, for my ability to spot pop culture references, I noticed the clever way that the “Straight Outta Compton” film logo had been used for inspiration.

I value this at the T-Shirt standard of $10 USD.

Captain America Funko POP! Vinyl

This is a good POP! which comes complete with the Bobble-Head motion.

Unusually for me, as someone who doesn’t tend to buy POP! Vinyls unless they’re included in mystery boxes, this is a duplicate. It was also in the Zavvi ZBox for May 2015.

This is still a fine item to receive. The Captain America POP! is available from Amazon.com for $16 USD.

Star Wars Foldable Canteen

Despite the name, essentially this is a water bottle, in a convenient plastic format that can be reused when empty.

I managed to confuse myself during the unboxing with the unusual terminology and misreading the tiny information on the back.

Essentially, this can be frozen, and presumably used for liquids other than water, but it’s not suitable for boiled water (or other hot liquids).

One cool use way to use this would be as the geek equivalent of a hip flask!

Good to see something useful and different in the box.

The Star Wars Foldable Canteen sells for $8 USD on Amazon.com.

Refreshers Sweets

I remember Refreshers as individual chewy sweets (at one point, they’d have been “penny” sweets – although inflation has ended that).

I’ve not come across them in this multi-pack format before.

Always good to have sweets in these boxes and looking forward to diving if. For ease of calculation, I’ll value these at $1 USD.

Gamer Survival Guide Poster

This is a simple poster, long and narrow. Not really a keeper design for me, but I appreciate the work that goes in these posters.

I value this type of poster at $2 USD.

DC Comics Badge

This is one of the better badges I’ve had a box recently, and I appreciate the individual card mounting.

It’s a collection of different DC logos and comic character superhero pictures, all on a 25mm (about 1 inch) badge.

I’ll value this at $1 USD.

Gengar Large Fridge Magnet

This is an oversized fridge magnet of a Pokemon character.

I’m not over-familiar with Pokemon, but this is a fun design.

Based on similar magnets, I value this at $2 USD.

Box Review

A very good Fantasy box this month, with $40 USD of value.

Where this stands above similar boxes is that the three main items are all interesting and useful.

There’s an excellent T-Shirt – one of the best designs I’ve seen for a while.

A useful foldable canteen (water bottle) and a collectible POP!.

Infinity Crates continues to get my highest recommendation.

If you’re in the UK and not an Infinity Crates subscriber, you’re missing out on one of the best nerd boxes out there.
