It’s been over a year since I last reviewed a Bam! Box, but not for a lack of trying. I’ve had boxed ordered sent to an address that didn’t exist (I blame computer software) and one that arrived with the contents missing.

The first one to actually arrive for a while was the June 2020 Bam! Pop Culture Box, which is reviewed here. This is Volume 5 Box 5 in the Bam! numbering scheme.

The boxes are mostly made up of autographs, fan art and prop replicas. This month’s arrived in a thin box, along with an information sheet. Sometimes you can get even more limited upgraded versions of items, but I wasn’t lucky this month.

There was no information card included, but this was available online.

The current pricing, with UK shipping included, weighs in at $42 USD (£33 GBP). There are sometimes discounts available, including for longer term subscriptions.

Box Contents

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Autographed Print

This is a cool print, autographed by Townsend Coleman, who voiced Michaelangelo in the original cartoon TV series. That’s also the version of the Turtles I best remember (and it caused quite a stir when it was shown on UK TV for the first time).

This comes with a certificate of authenticity.

I’ll go with a $15 USD value.

Back To The Future Artist Card (Exclusive)

This is a fan art trading card size print. It does have the artist autograph on the back, but I believe these are prints. Quite a nice design.

I’ll value this at $2 USD.

Black Widow Fan Art Print (Exclusive)

This is a larger print of a fan art design. Nicely done and this again comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Fan art prints are hard to value. Let’s hope that Hal Moore goes on to fame and fortune! As it is, I’ll value this at $5 USD.

Lord Of The Ring’s Necklace (Exclusive)

This is the coolest item of the month. A replica of Arwen’s necklace from The Lord of the Rings.

This comes boxed.

It’s not something that I can personally wear, but I can see it will make lots of fans happy.

You can see lots of Lord of the Rings necklaces on Amazon.com. Based on those, I’ll value this one at $10 USD.

Tiger King Pin (Exclusive)

Every month, the box contains a limited edition pin. I’m not much of a fan of pins in general but this depicts one of the most notorious characters of TV documentary fame so far this year.

I’ll value this at $2 USD.

Box Review

A fun box. Rather lightweight this time and rather heavy on the prints.

I get $34 USD of value, which is below the cost price. But it’s always hard to put a value on autographs.

I loved the celebrity autograph. The prop replica has had a lot of thought go into it.

I’m not so much of a fan of fan art, but I can see why it’s there.

As with so many boxes, shipping to the UK is what makes the cost decision of buying these boxes more difficult. But what you do get is something quite unique and with items produced in limited runs.
